Default Crazy idea (Photo shop anyone?)

I wonder how a outback front bumper cover would look on a BE if it was painted to match the rest of the car?

It looks hot, as hell. We have already done 3 cars for my dealership. And mine is at the body shop getting sprayed. If I can get my hands on a digital camara, I'll post some pic. Outback front bumper with the Syms front grille looks hot !

We also just got done painting a Wintergreen Outback LTD mono tone, and a Birch White Outback LTD mono tone.

Default how much?

How much are the 00+ Outback front bumper covers? I wanted to do the same to my BE after my front bumper got scratched up in a ditch.

Someone posted a picture of a Legacy with that setup a while ago. It looked very good.

I'm not that good in PS. I've been looking at outbacks driving by my so long that people do that "do I know him?" wave. What would I have to do to get the fogs to work?

I was thinking about doing that to the front of my MY00 GT Wagon. I thought it would look swee also. Because the front end would have larger front foglights and it just seems that the outback front bumper has better lines. Do not quote me on that. That is just my opinion.

Default really nice!

I've always thought the outback fronts looked better. They look more aggressive. I just don't like the raised suspension and two-tone colors.
I wish someone would post a pic of an actual car with this mod. I've seen it on a MY99 but I want to see it on a MY00+.
Anyone with autobody experience know if there would be any problems with this conversion? Would it just bolt up?

Nice!!!! It should just bolt up- they are the body. I'll take a pic of mine in a couple of weeks when its done! I'm getting the the radiator strut fixed first(thursday). I tried to get a cover from subaruparts.com, but they havn't gotten back to me. I was going to get a Prova from accurit, but my insurance company shafted me. Not shabby work HIHO, that gave me a general idea of the thing.

Talking info...long

From what I remember, these are the parts that are needed to convert the bumper to the Outback style.

......................................SOA part #'s.................MSRP

Front Bumper.................57704AE05A................$ 229.95
Front Tow Hook Cover....57731AE29A................$29.95
Right Bracket 1...............57707AE17A...............$10.92
Right Bracket 2...............57707AE21A...............$15.80
Left Bracket 1.................57707AE18A...............$10.10
Left Bracket 2.................57707AE22A...............$15.39
Fog Lamp Right..............84501AE10A................$102. 42
Fog Lamp Left................84501AE11A................$102 .42

I think that all the GT backets can be reused (rebent). You're looking at $464.74, just for parts (list price ) minus the brackets, plus paint. The install is easy.

My bumper is waiting to be painted. But in the mean time I'll see if I can do a bumper swap with 2 cars from work. Hopefully I won't get into too much hot water. hehehe!

You could also save some money if you bought some aftermarket fogs.

Default OEM Subaru parts

What site other then Subaruparts.com has OE Subaru parts? I'm probably gonna get the OB front bumper cover too in the fall. My current bumper is all scraped to hell and one fog is burnt out.

Call the guys atLiberty Subaru FIRST!!!! From my experience, they have PHENOMENAL customer service, and they sell wholesale on parts. Subaruparts.com has tried to screw me & friends with OB's and 2.5GT's with crazy shipping charges. The bought from Liberty and got friendly people on the phone, and a cheaper price too!

My experience with Liberty is awesome, with Subaruparts.com it's been bad to shady/dishonorable.
