how good is and aem ems and what is the best ems to go with for a 03 wrx

just get a v1 accessport and if you need to change stuff yourself get the street tuner software for it

This question has been beaten to death.

The AEM is a full standalone and will not pass an OBDII emmissions test. It requires a good tuner to tune it and it will be only as good as the tune he gives you. It has a ton of features and is great if you take full advantage of them. Same goes with all the other standalones like Hydra, Autronic, and Motec.

The majority of people prefer (or are content with) a stock ECU reflash such as Ecutek, OpenECU, or Accessport.

The TurboXS UTEC is my personal favorite. All the features of a full standalone (launch control, flat foot shifting, speed density (MAF-less) fueling, solenoid/meth/N20 control, 5 on the fly selectable maps) with the driveablity and ease of an ECU reflash.
