Default Mystery headlight

Anyone had the inside (reflector) of your RS falling apart?
Mine did, driver side. Car is 2 years old. 36K. Only mod to the headlight unit is super white bulb but 55W. Subaru has no clue how could that happened. Will replace with a new one on Monday.

Unbelieveable but true...

Someone in Edmonton with a month old Blue WRX sedan had to change both headlights due to tiny dead flies in the headlight unit itself. As everyone know the headlight is just one unit. Apparently, after the customer's first car wash, that's when it was noticeable. Conclusion from the dealership, whereever the lights units were made, some flies have laid eggs in there and voila fried ones....

Peace,
Feng

These seem to be freak things. If there were flies inside the unit can't you get at them by pulling the bulb? I've never looked closely at a GDA headlight though...

Speaking of headlights, has anyone ever tried the projector stlye light on the WRX? I'm thinking about doing this mod but not sure where to get the parts or the quality of the light once it's done. Any thoughts??

I did have a spider in my WRX headlight for a few weeks, I guess he moved out.

They are not sealed beams so I guess an adventurous fly or spider could climb in they small vent tubes they have. The small tubes are to allow hot air to get out.
Still freaky
