Default Bra or no bra

I'm about to repaint my front bumper because it has more chips than a lays factory...but I'm not sure if i should buy a clear bra afterwards. Maybe the new paint will be a lot better than the Subaru paint?? and it won't need it. So what do you think?

I would get the spray on clear bra so there is no seem like on the film bras. I cant really recommend you anyone in Florida but I know of a few shops that do it locally in cali so im sure you can find at least one shop that can do it for you. The place that I went to did a Ferrari prior and showed me pictures and it looks great you cant even tell it just seems like a heavy duty clear coat they did his entire front bumper, 1/3rd of the hood and his mirrors.

Make sure you go to a shop that's reputable and been around for a while. I got the film type installed on my car almost immediately after i bought it and after a year it was peeling/bubbling in at least half a dozen places. Looks like crap. 3M will only provide warranty work if the film itself fails, not if it was installed poorly. Unfortunately, when i tried to find the place that installed it to fix the mess they had disappeared.

In the case of a clear bra, I would pay for expert installation over something on the internet. You don't want to have what happened to hiflyer777.

It's not the chips that bother me, it's the couple of bug stains that I can't seem to remove! I will definately do a clear bra if I repaint the bumper...

You reccommend buying the rockblocker stuff and then taking it somewhere and having it professionally installed? I have heard it's pretty hard to do. I tried doing a rear window tint job and failed, this has to be harder.

3M Clear Bra, or most tint shops will be able to install a clear bra aswell. If you don't like the bug stains, and imperfections, get one.
