Default Looking for help on transmission swap in Carlsbad

I blew 3rd gear on my WRX this weekend at Streets of Willow Springs. The combination of the Crawford 2.5L and FMIC was too much for the tranny. I'm looking at swapping in a STI tranny and doing it myself. I've done much of the mods on my car but I'm hoping to find someone around San Diego/Carlsbad thats pulled and installed a tranny before to help out. That's asking a lot and I'm willing to pay for the help. PM me if you're interested.

It's driveable. First, second, and fifth gear work. The drive from Willow Springs to Carlsbad was weird going from 2nd to 5th.

This week, I'm shopping for a used USDM STI transmission, driveshaft, shift linkage, and 3.9 R&P for the rear diff.

I also blew 3rd gear at SoW last weekend. I was coming out of the bowl (running CW), shifting from 2nd to 3rd when it went. Not much drama, just a bunch of rattling. Limped home to Fresno in 5th. Fourth still works. Had almost 85k miles on a pretty stock (Cobb stg 2) setup. Scheduled for an RA swap in 3 weeks.

I went with the STI 6 spd. RA gears were back ordered. I didn't want to get the PPG gears because of the noise and the STI tranny comes with a DCCD which improves handling. You can find deals on Ebay. I got mine with the shifter linkage for $2,400 shipped.
