Default what would this noise be ???

I have an 06 sti and i got a downpipe put on the other day and i noticed that when i get on it a little in 2nd and let off and let it cruise to a stop i can hear a metal sound. sounds like a tin can kinda. The shop cut my stock turbo heat shield so i am guessing thats what the noise is ???

your description of the noise is lacking, but i would guess that 80%+ of all noises that freak people out are just the heatshield(s), so that is probably not a bad guess. i would need additional info/description to help.
