Default moving to SFU Burnaby!

Woot! Woot!
thats right, Moving up to SFU "UniverCity" Burnaby area in mid October. Great little secluded spot to raise my kid, and to kick it nice, quiet, and cozy as a small family.

Been living DT Vancouver since moving here 6 years ago.
So Burnaby is pretty new/uncharted territory to me (besides the EA area where I work).

If anyone lives up by Burnaby Mountain, I would love to meet some neigborhood subbies!

for the next little while, time to do some exploring
restaurants, shopping, sites, etc. etc.
If there's places to check out, feel free to let me know, and I'll scope it out.

Thanks!
Charles

My grandparents had a house up on Cliff ave, and it was a very nice area.
I love that side of Bby mountain, so quiet, so quaint. Good thing you have a Suby though, as I got a few phonecalls from them last year when they couldn't get their car up the hill during a nasty snowstorm.

AWD ftw!

there's at least 5-8 people from the VIC that attend SFU, so you will be seeing some for sure

hahaha... checked out that area by Polygon. The thought of having students as my neighbours somehow didn't appeal to me. Party all night yo!!! Most are bought up by parents (for kids) or for rental purposes.

Yeh that was a total concern of mine too when i was first looking up that way. Until I asked around, and all the neighbors say it's really really quiet. they say the town home complex we're in is mostly young families living up there for the same reasons we are.
Therefore, most students (if they can afford the expensive rent, so i heard) would be living/renting out condos, and not the town homes asmuch.
But I guess I'll find out soon enough!

yeh seems these days I'm digging the quiet and quaint style of living, so when I come home after work, I feels like I'm away from the hustle
+bustle. Perhaps I'm just over living downtown.
AWD + snowshoes ftw!
