Subbie GPS options have never made much sense. I was looking and the GPS option is also much more than the old $1,800-2,000 I have seen it on other makes for, it was like $3,200????

The nav option on the 9-3 combi is $2,100.

Peace,

Greg

Or tom-tom. Either would be a great choice. Mount anywhere, great controls...hell you could probably make it look stock if you wanted to.

Why is there an H6 option without a 5MT? No good reason there either...

I assume they think anyone wanting performance will go for the turbo 4. Anyone wanting luxury-style power will opt for the h6. luxury and automatics seem to go hand-in-hand, so no reason for a manual h6 in their eyes.

And yeah, I was thinking of just getting some sort of gps on my next phone. That would leave the option for an aftermarket stereo more reasonable (but the dash isn't very aftermarket-friendly either way)...

I used to really want an in-car GPS too, but when you are going on vacation, it's much more useful to have a portable unit.

I have a Ipaq rX5915. It's a pocket pc that has bluetooth and wireless. It's labelled a travel companion which is pretty accurate. I can listen to music, or play games, surf the web, etc.

I think it has to do with the whole limitations while in drive thing. On most higher end cars there are certain functions that are enableed while in drive.

My Garmin install looks pretty stock.

I've recently (about an hour ago) changed how it mounts internally, which is very solid.

The whole how-to is here.
