Default Need a rock chip filled in....

Just got my new damn windshield after it looked like a dead tree.. And what Happens? A rock chip. .Can someone refer me to a place that will fill it in so I don't have branches starting to grow on my windshield.. I appreciate it, thanks!!!!!!!

go to autozone and by the fix a windshield kit. i have used the hell outta mine. works great, and only costs like 11 bucks

Thanks for the tip, didn't know their was such a thing!! So those windshield scam artists at car washes pray on the weak, the ones that dont know about this kit and charge them an arm and a leg then?... hmmm interesting

yessir. its wicked easy man. i have had to fill mine like 6 times from rock chips. if your close to chandler, come over and ill do it for ya.

ah, i work tomorrow. in mesa at greenfield and mckellips. buy it and read the directions and see what ya think. its really really easy. if ya need help we can try to connect this weekend, or at the westside meet tomorrow (best to do during the day so it cures faster though, so the meet may not be the best).

basically it comes with a thing that has 4 suction cups on it to hold it to the window, and something that screws into the middle.

you line the middle up to the center of the crack/chip and screw the piece into the center until it hits the glass(this piece is hollow), then tighten it one more turn to press out any air.

put some resin **** in the top, screw on another piece into the original that you screwed down. this presses the resin into the window. fill it up until you can no longer see the chip, then take it off. let it sit in the sun for like 10 minutes and scrape whats left on the top with a razor blade.

they work well. i have had 6 rock chips on my new window and you can only see the first one i did (didnt put in enough resin), the other 5 are gone

if you have a friend with boobies most of the time the carwash will do it for free. my GF never pays for hers.
