That's 326 whp/285 wtq @ 13 psi? Is it on 93 octane with no meth? Any idea what a stock STi or 2.0L WRX puts down on this dyno?

Edit: Isn't Tim Bailey the tuner there? Almost forgot about that. I'm hoping to have my car re-tuned by him during one of his next visits to California.

13psi is barely spinning for that turbo... why so low?

Probably concerned about his motor. That graph looks fun, that power just keeps coming! Torque curve is nice too, doesn't drop off that much.

a very nice looking torque curve...reminds me of my EJ205 and VF39 at 11psi...flat torque from 3500-7000!!

seriously though. why only 13psi? was your turbo unable to hold boost past 13psi? I am far from any sort of expert but unless something is or went wrong during the tuning session 13psi should not have been the final number. I know we fought with the same turbo on my car to hold higher boost.

intrigued

when PDXtuning went to install the 20g they saw that FP has changed their compressor casing, so now when you go to install it the outlet will hit your drive by wire connection on the throttle body (not good since it will sooner or later melt your throttle wires (dont forget that MY06 is not a cable, as i stated by "drive by wire")...problem is that when they clocked the 20g the WG actuator does not hold pressure, PDX tried to adjust it but that just lead to boost creep near redline... so my tune is for only 13psi
Jarrad at PDXtuning has been very helpful in dealing with FP for me... and i talked with Robert at FP (I believe he is the owner) and he has worked out a deal with me were i send me turbo back to them and they send one out with the "correct" turbo so it doesnt need to be clocked at all... hopefully then my car will be tip top condition, only down side is i need to spend a week or so in Portland in a hotel with my dog (hopeful i can find one that allows dogs and is cheap)

as long as FP does what they say they will do i am happy with the way it turned out... it is just poopy that i had to be one of the 1st ones to find out and report back to FP that their new compressor casing doesnt work on the 2.5L engines, but that is all part of the tuning game.

nope Jarrad is now, Tim is now at http://www.surgelinetuning.com/

Jarrad did i great job with the tune despite the WG issue, and he has done a lot to settle the issue with Forced Performance, so hopefully i can get some higher number posted soon.

I would seek some compensation for that. You had to pay for labor and a crappy 13psi tune that you arent even gonna use because THEY screwed up.

And you have to pay to have it uninstalled, the new one reinstalled and tuned again.

You got bent over.

Companies shouldnt be able to use their customers UNKNOWINGLY for R&D. Unless they told you that they didnt know if it would fit and you said you would take a chance.

True, but it doesnt hurt to try. Worst they can say is no and your in the same spot.

Dont know if PDX is cutting you a deal, but if i had to get a turbo installed, tuned, uninstalled, reinstalled and tuned again that would be around at least

$200 install
$500 tune
$200 uninstall
$200 reinstall
$500 retune

Total = $1600

And I think thats being conservative at $100/hr and 2hr a piece for the installs.

I would be pissed, but i guess theres not really much you can do about it.

Not to mention a week in a hotel room and a week off work. Hope they have some good strip clubs there so you can make it rain.
