Default Stage2 07 STI 12.52@107.26

Just got back from the track. Ran my STI for the first time.

Mods are Bosal full 3" catback, Invidia cattless DP, and K&N drop in.

Tuned at Topspeed to 305hp, 335TQ.

80 degrees tonight, Right at sea-level.

Best run of the night.

60' .... 1.669
330... 5.120
1/8.... 7.963
mph.... 86.03
1000... 10.426
1/4.... 12.521
mph.... 107.26

Pretty happy with the results. I trapped at 108 on one run, if I could of matched with this 60' probably went 12.40's. Can't wait till it cools off.

Damn man, that's mooooving! I've seen a few highly modded stis at the track, 04s and 05s, who still can't get out of the 13's. What were the rest of your runs like?

Only ran 3 times. I still don't like beating onthe tranny too much.
1st run I was line up against an open wheel dragster. That SOB was so loud and shook my car so much that I That couldn't feel or hear my car and blew the run.

2nd run was 1.8 60' 12.73 107.98

12.7 is still great with the minimal mods.

Yeah, i hate when you get stuck racing a beefy muscle/drag car and you can't even hear your own car.

Your traps are great! I don't want to start an argument, but i think these '07 stis are the best so far.

id say 6200-6500, make it quick shift - they start to nose dive up top on stock turbo - many people have noticed this at the track. good luck - awesome times as is!

true, those highly modded guys are limited at the drag strip
because they get slowed down with turbo lag.
they end up shifting at the wrong rmp range or just punch
to redline everytime, and miss the correct shift rmp.

what kind of dyno do they use?
thats high for a stock sti, i know people that never go over 300hp
on a stage 2 tune.
289 to the wheels is the highest ive seen witha stage 2.

I aired the tires to 45psi, Locked to diff to 50/50, and launched at 5500rpms with a fast slip.

With 305hp to the wheels, what should my traps be?

I always hear people say that Topspeeds dyno reads high. And that mph is a better indication of power. So what does a 107 trap equate to with our cars.

Only calculations I can find are for RWD cars, and by those I should have 340RWHP. Iknow thats not right.

Sucks doesn't it? All those RWD and FWD calculators don't do crap for us AWD people. I don't even look at them anymore now that I have this car.... It's nice to see what kind of RWD car (power wise) you can keep up with though - in bench race theory of course.
