Default Can i run EasyECU software on my Euro WRX?

As the title says, can i run EasyECU software on my 2002 EU WRX? My ECU code is AF531 which is not stated on Ecutek.com

I've some telling me it will run, and some telling me it's meant for USDM cars ONLY. which is which?

I am not sure about ecutek but I am pretty sure you can modify your stock rom for free. You need to buy the cable for $90 us dollars or if you dont have a wideband you can get this http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/tactrix.php

If you have not heard about the open source project I would check that out first.
