Get some race gas and work on your 60ft. By the way the first video looks, that car can be a low 12 second machine

The traps will come up 2-4 mph with cooling northeastern temps, just gotta hook

Man you shift really quickly! Two questions:
1) when you shift do you drop the clutch between shifts? Or do you just pull the clutch up and down really quickly.
2) Do you have any drivetrain mods?
Thanks a lot!

Looks like your RPMS are jumping up to 8K when you shift in the second vid...

Nice runs BTW.

I get 1.7 60's, I have never got a 1.6xx no matter how hard I try

I have an act 6 puck and a light flywheel

255 azenis all around

My previous best was 12.59 @ 109, and this trip was nice cool air, so I was hoping for a 12.4xx @ 110+ But my traps were super low all night, and I really dont understand why. like 106-107, before the meth and the protune I was running 12.99 @ 104-105, so I was quite disappointed to see ets as low as 106. Traps were my best though so

1) Not sure what your question is? I dont dump the clutch, I just do it as fast as possible.

2) ACT 6 puck, sprung clutch and an ACT Streetlite flywheel. Took 14 hours to put in If I had to do it again, I could do it in under 8, Things didnt go smoothly. Stock clutch went at ~40k miles. I auto-x a lot with some dragging on the side.

Nah, it doesnt jump that high, the tach needle reads high. The shift indicator is only set to 6500 and my rev limit with the protune is 7200. I dont hit rev limit at all when dragging.

Thanks for the compliments on the driving

I wanted a 12.4 so bad I could taste it, but i just couldnt pull it off. I was disappointed in my traps, I dont know what was up

Oh well, Its my best et yet so I cant complain too much. Maybe next year.

Thanks xrocket. I was just asking when you shift, does it follow this sequence:

1)foot off gas partially
2)clutch all the way down
3)next gear
4)pull your foot off the clutch quick
5) back on gas

or is your step 4) letting the clutch come up on its own, as side stepped it

I am just curious, as I didn't really hear a bang (assuming your have rear diff bushings) but you seem to be really quick with your clutch.

I realize that shifting is an art, and that you must have a lot of practice, so if you don't feel like sharing I understand, but any tips would really help out!

No, its not that I dont feel like sharing, just trying to understand your question. I just try to shift as fast as possible, but I deffinitely dont sidestep it. You steps sound about right. I only let off the gas partially, thats why the rpms jump. I might not push the clutch in all the way either, I cant really remember. The 6-puck is really beefy so you can be pretty agressive and it wont slip. Makes launching and daily driving a bit of a chore, but Im used to it.

I dont have that much practice, I dont drag often, maybe 10 runs a year! But I do have almost 60k miles on my sti, so I have been behind the wheel awhile.

If I had to guess...

Total...

~20 1/8 miles runs
~40 1/4 miles runs
~200 auto-x runs???????

I <3 my sti
