got pulled over

well my parents just dropped off my new ride from cali and in the first 20 minuts of driving it i get stopped for having no license plates. since the car was bought in california it doesn't have that big peice of paper in the back window, just a very small folded up registration. i asked the cop if there is any way of preventing gettin pulled over for this, he had no answer.
but i love the car

Hhah that sucks.. You get a ticket? You should be ablt to go to court if not and fiht that.. just show them some registrtion

yea once i showed him the registration he stopped grilling me like i stole the car and he let me go. i just hope i dont get stopped constantly untill i get my plates on the car

Go the the AZ DMV website and print some temporary ones up. I think it is only a couple bucks. It may save you some headache

I went to UTi too. Did you know that you can make 20,000,000 dollars a year as an auto tech? Only if you show up to class on time and tuck in your shirt though.

This would be a bad idea. The three day registrations are good only for you to go to and from the DMV and you cant drive it at night. If you are violating this you could get a ticket if the officer wants to give you one.

Its gonna suck but just hurry up and try to get to the MVD.

I dont know about you but I would rather get pulled over and show them Im legit than give them a reason to write me a ticket.

Last time I was there they had a 30 day general use permit for $15 or so. They also had the 3 day restricted use ones you are talking about.

I am not sure if he qualifies for the 30 day one, as I am not sure why he doesn't have a plate in the first place, unless he is planning on keeping the CA plates on it (once they are issued) while living/working/going to school in AZ (which I also believe is against the law

ha screw all that crap..... i drove around with cali registration (no plates) for like a year before i got plates. just used it as an excuse to piss off the po's when they pulled me ofer for no plates.

btw..... you will not be able to get a temp plate unless you are registering in AZ

yea im planning to go back to cali after i graduate so the the temp wont work for me, but great idea though. as for the car its night and day compared to my old car(00 2.5rs), which handled alot better of course, but the legacy alot quicker. but i know if i had waited for the sti i probly would have gotten my car impounded by now or crashed
