Default Nice car but its no Subie.

I was heading home from work this morning and rolled with a yellow Lotus Elise on the I10 from the 17 to Avondale. I was admiring the car when I thought to myself, I wouldnt trade my WRX for that. I dont know why, maybe because I have wanted a WRX since I first heard about them when Gran Turismo first came out.

Would anyone else not trade their Subaru for a really nice car?

For an Elise?

In...a...second.

I must own one before i am too old to climb in and out of the thing...If I were to pick one up I would DD the thing, even if it meant putting snow tires on it to go skiing. (snow tires on an elise sounds kick ass fun, dont you think?)

You can buy them used for 35k. It was on my list when I was looking for my new car but it's more of a toy obviously. Not at all practical.

Dont get me wrong, If it were an M3/5 or an AMG Merc that would be different but not an Elise.

Plus I heard from my friends co-worker who has had a couple Lotus' that they are horrible DD and need A LOT of maintanance.

The Elise is Toyota powered...not really the maintainance nightmare that other English cars tend to be.

Unlikely that I would trade. The STi really is one of the best bang-for-the-buck, all-around packages going.
