Default ACL bearings: N/A EJ25 same as WRX/STI EJ25?

Simple question - does the Phase II N/A EJ25 shortblock use the same ACL bearings as a WRX/STI EJ25? I've got a 2000 2.5RS shortblock at the machine shop now and want to make sure I'm getting the right bearings for it.

Thanks,
Pat Olsen

yup, same bearings...you might want to get the 12mm pump, put in some extra shims (for higher pressure) and run looser tolerances to free a few ponies...but if you don't want to experiment, don't blame you, just run a regular setup

Cool, thanks for confirming.

I think I'll just be sticking with the shimmed 10mm pump I've already got. I'm not looking to do anything too crazy with this engine.
