Who/Where did you get the block from?

could it just be welded/filled and machined smooth again?

Ugh, that **** sucks. I'd be so pissed off. You should probably take a little break from your build for a little while, just to clear your head.

Now, a suggestion to all the people who visit this thread regularly - think about sending Kostamojen a $1 donation to help his build along.

From a guy in Colorado Springs who had a couple of these left over from a dealer there.

I have no clue if it can be fixed...

It was sold as NOS. Physically, it looks completely new. This hole you couldn't even tell was not supposed to be there until the piston moves far enough down to see it.

Kost, do you have a Paypal account? I want to see this thing running. No excuses!

Go take a breather (from the car, not NASIOC).

I get paid Wednesday, I wouldn't mind donating to this (I've spent thousands on waaaaaay more useless things and on people that didn't deserve it).

its hard to tell from that pic but is the block sleeved? If so maybe just put a new sleeve in there and call it good. If its not sleeved maybe bore it out to install new sleeves in all the cylinders?

Thats such a bummer man. I am willing to support the cause.

If you go to page 73 you can see the hole in the block.

Yup. It just looks like a normal galley plug too.

Kosta, is there anything you can do to get some reparations from the seller at this point? They did sell you a block as NOS when it was clearly drilled to be scrapped. Tapping and putting a plug in that hole seems like one hell of a dick move to me.

Wasn't the seller in Colorado Springs? There are a TON of us here in CO that could give you a hand dealing with the person.

Kostamojen. I have been following this thread for a while now. That sucks about the block. I agree with the others about the sleeving option, but still feel the new motor is the best. I am in to donate some cashes to this cause. Both of your options cost money. I want to see this run.
