Default installing egt bung on coated headers?

I bought a jethot coated gruppe-s header and just like to know if its ok to install an egt bung. im a little worried it might crack or chip coating especially inside the header. thanks,

i'm not the original owner of my gruppe-s headers, but my buddy i got them from said he had the egt bunged for him. I don't see any cracks or anything, looks fine to me.

Who would know more about Jet-Hot coatings than Jet-Hot? From their website...

As long as you are carefull you shouldnt have any issues with the coating cracking. The most you should be worried about is the header/coating getting scratched from the drilling, tapping, and holding the manifold steady.

I have tapped a manifold before after it has been coated, it wasnt a problem at all just took extra time to be carefull

when I originally made this thread it was a saturday so I couldnt call jethot and I figured ide get a quick reply here, but anyways, I called a shop and they said it shouldnt be a problem, so instead of risking damage I think ill just let them do it. thanks for the replies,
