Default Does this sound like an alright system?

Ok so I'm looking at getting a system and I don't want to spend to much but not spend too less and get a ****ty system. This is for a 2000 2.5 RS

Ok heres a list of things I plan on getting

1. Blaupunkt San Jose CD/MP3/WMA Receiver(plays WMA files which are half the size of MP3s and cd quality, about 300 songs will fit on 1 cd, also only car cd player on the market that will play them) - $299.95

2. Kenwood KAC-859 40wx4 + 120wx1 amp - $$249.95

3. Pioneer DEQ-7600 DSP Equalizer - $299.95

4. Kenwood 5-1/4" Components(2 sets for front in custom made door panel pods with tweeters in custom pod in the corner of dash) - $149.95 each

5. Kenwood 6"x9" 3-way speakers (in rear side panels) - $99.95

6. Polk Audio EX10 10" Sub (2 mounted on rear deck with cutom fiberglass box extending into trunk, I already have a 10" free air sub mounted back there, I'm sure I can put 2) - $109.95 each

7. Streetwires 4 gauge amp kit(replacing the 4 gauge already in there) - $59.95

8. Misc. stuff like speaker wire and crimps - Free (friends with people at car sterio places)

So how does that sound for now? It totals out to be around $1600 for everthing including the fiberglass material I will need, and I will be doing all the work and installation myself. I plan on putting in a 7" wide screen LCD on the dash, Blaupunkt DVD player and Sony PS1 Mounted in the glove compartment, 2 4" LCDs mounted in the coner of the dash for side rear view cameras and middle 7" screen will also be for rear view camera.

Sounds good. I bought my Brother the San Jose MP3/WMA player. He told me that the Mpeg decoder wasnt that good. The kenwood I have is appearently much better. Athough the price for the Blau is hard to beat and looks really good.

And for the last time WMA and MPEG encoded files are not CD quality.

The have very close signal to noise ratios but the "Quality" is not even close.

Good luck on You ride

I wasnt impressed with Kenwood their amps tend to overheat very easily. Sounds like a good price for all that stuff though.

MP3s and WMAs can be done at cd quality but there going to be bigger. Plus I don't like MP3s but the WMA part is why I'm buying it since all my cds have been done on my computer already into WMAs.

I have had Kenwood amps before and never had much problems with them. Anyways the amp rack I'm going to build for it will have at least three PC Fans with heatsinks for the backside.
