Default What are you seeing for tread life (06-07)

I dont have the Legacy but have the wheels and tire combo from a late model 2006 (or maybe 07?) that has the Yokahama Advan A82 tires ..

I noticed that they have a terrible treadwear rating on the side.. What are you guys seeing for mileage from these? I'm just curous if they will even last the winter? I'm sure they will, but wow 140 treadwear? WTF?....

TIA
Chris

can not wear out fast enough for me! need to put on summer only tires.
they will not wear out if you leave the tires in the garage and mount winter tires on the wheels. you might sell the yokahama tires to offset the cost of the winter tires.

I have a set of SSR wheels i use in the summer and these were picked up on a trade only. I leave them in the garage until i need them which means in a couple weeks they will go on the car for the winter.

But as stated if i could sell them now for 150.00 ( tires only ) i could pick up a set of good all seasons..

I'm really jsut curious of some real world results..

Good winter tires are cheaper than the standard deductible - I consider winter tires to be cheap insurance.

And it's just that much nicer to be able to brake in the winter without seeing the ABS more than a couple times
