Question Hood Scoop Installation. Where to?

Well, I'm gonna start the re-vamping of my poor Legacy. I got all the parts I need and more for my car. The only problem is, the hood I got doesn't have a hood scoop. I still have my original hood scoop and I was wondering where I could go to get it installed for and maybe a price range. Should I take it to a body shop? Paint shop? or can I do it myself? I was also considering popping in some hood vents. DLC gave me that idea Thanx for the help guys.

Another question. Would it be a good idea to drive my turbo without the hood soop until I can figure out how to get one on? I understand that the hoodscoop intakes air to cool off the turbo, so I'm unsure about this all.. thanks again.

I'd just spend half a day looking around various body shops. Any body shop could cut a hole in your hood and weld in the new scoop.

I'd definitly put it in because I think the cooling for your engine is critical. Consider the fact that you don't have an intercooler.... you at least need a scoop to let cold air in. I doubt you'd kill your car just driving here and there, but NO HARD DRIVING. And mabye let your car idle and cool off a bit before you turn the engine off.

just my .02c
