Default Jdm bd/bg legacys, came with a lsd?

Alright, i know there was an lsd option for later bd/bgs part of a cold weather package, right?

Now this picture is supposedly of a rear lsd
How can i know for sure? is there a code stamped into the housing specifically stating its an lsd? ive seen stickers on rear lsds that specifically state it is an lsd, but this one doesnt seem to have it

I was under the understanding that Turbo BD/BG's had a viscous rear lsd....
that is the general concensus thus far on ClubSub.org.nz

Do many Club Sub people in New Zealand still own a Turbo-charged BD or BG series Legacy ? Has one of these folks tried jacking up the front wheels, and just one rear wheel and then seeing what happenes when the clutch is dropped ?

At one point I swear someone told me the USDM BD Legacy GT Limiteds were sold with the limited slip rear end, and for sure it seems like it when driving mine in snow or ice... although most people I have spoken to have assured me that this is not the case.

only about 78% of registered users (well it seems like it) will jack mine up this weekend if I remember - out for Historic 2wd Rally on Saturday :P

Jonathan - IIRC- it's widely believed that no USDM BD/BK/BG ever had a LSD, including the Outback.
