Honestly, who gives a ish?
... Mitsubishi would have to do some SERIOUS work to make me ever consider buying one of their cars again. Reliability, build quality, etc have SUCKED for the past, what, 8 years? And don't get me started on the styling... in my opinion the Evos have been slowly going downhill since the VI's. This new one is flat out hideous. I give the Evo, in every form we've gotten in the States, a solid "meh." Yeah, the car handles very well, and the 4G is insane for modability, but I'll never get past the wrinks and crinkles that makes a Mitsubishi... a Mitsubishi ![]() |

The Evo's and subarus have alot in common, they're both ugly.

yeah no ****. The general public thinks that they both look stupid. Until the day that I become a millionaire I have to stick with cheap speed. Which means owning an 89 justy.jk. I'm not going to start though. I'm sick of threads on evom and nabisky about teh evo vs sti.

I like both, subaru and evo of all years (except this evo x). I don't buy my car because of what other people think of it. I don't care.

Hell, it looks much better than the new impreza... I'm sure it out performs it as well... I drove the new wrx, it's a joke.

all the evo owners feel the same way we all feel about the wrx. none of them like it. im not a fan of it's looks. the front looks really tall, the rear is a mess. and i'm concerned with all the damn gadgets ruining that lightining quick steering(which articles are saying it does). on top of that, cost of ownership will go way up i'm guessing...i still want a IX RS.

Yeah I guess looks are one thing and it may be appealing to one person and not to another but the fact is that mitsubishi said that the EVO X will out perform any previous EVOs...doesn't look like it 3500lbs! 13.8second 1/4 mile @ 102 and they expect people to pay more than 40k for it. I'm beginning to like the new STi more and more, let's hope Subaru doesn't do this to us...

I have not read that article so I can't comment on it... Just read all the usual mags they have in waiting rooms.. That's why I went to drive one. All articles agreed(and my test drive confirmed), the 08 out of the box was no faster than the the 07 AND the handling wasn't any better. I just don't feel the car offers anything but a fresh look and improved comfort/convenience...

if you do further research subaru isnt concerned about the tuner market anymore, the car was aimed more at the general public to increase sales...

true. they need to increase sales, especially in the U.S. i think this could work to improve the sti each year though. the more sales they generate, the more they'll put into their performance car. for now, we'll have to suffer with the new wrx.

I think the Evo X has more comfort items and interior crap to appeal to the public too. America needs cruise control. idk hope the GTR doesn't suck.

It's funny how times change, I'd rather have a new Z06 or the new Z07 than the new subi or evo. But I really want some seat time in the new GT-R!
