Just be careful with your tranny on the 100 octane map Then again I think we all told you that about 20 times today after your tune!

I agree about the "how you drive part". I've seen essentially stock cars blow up clutches and trannies in less than 10K miles. My personal car was putting down over 400whp/400wtq through the stock tranny and stock clutch just fine. Heck, my clutch with 36K miles on it still had over 50% left. However, some of the same people who have annihilated their clutches in 10K miles have also sworn up and down that they drive slowly and reasonably . More than anything else, if you are warned that they tranny is a weak point, it'll be in the back of your head and hopefully you won't do anything stupid with it.

Here we go with the whole "that dyno reads high" or the "... but this was on a super duper heartbreaker of a dyno" Nipcup's car was just a really strong running and happy car. His 91 octane numbers match those of some of the best running Stage 2 04-06 STi on the same dyno. His 100 octane tune was just nuts. It made more power than anyone at the shop expected. Of course this particular Dynojet doesn't read as low as most Mustang dynos, no Dynojet does, but it is right in line with just about any other Dynojet out there. For reference, a stock 06 WRX does something in the neighborhood of 190 whp. A stock 04-06 STi is around 250whp.

while that is true, a 2.0l wrx with a vf22 wont come close to the torque the OP's car put out on the 100 octane tune. that and the final drive of the 06-07 wrx 5spd tranny is more stressful on the gears than the final drive of your 04 5spd

i beat the **** out of my 5spd in my wrx. ever launch your wrx using launch control and spraying a 70 shot? i did. it was one hell of a ride, it never broke or drove any different than from day one but "knowing how to drive" was holding me back. when i got a 6spd swap, i was able to shift much faster with much less clutch work and the result was a faster car with out the worry of breaking the transmission.

that setup on an 06-07 wrx is like a stage 2 sti. the power numbers compared to a stage 2 sti, on pump, are pretty much in the same range.

nice numbers BTW.
