Default MRT Brake Bracket

The Bracket is a pretty decent piece...What it does is Stops the Flex in the Firewall when you hit the brakes....it attaches to your strut mount and to the master cylinder to stop the Flex....They are about $50...and should firm up your peddle feel...a little....What happens is when your hard off and on the brakes the Firewall where the Brakebooster is flexes...so this bracket stops the flex...

Oh..and Sean..the link is dead...sorry.

Mahalo Scooby South and NoLimit for the info. Sounds like some serious brake slamming to need a bracket for the booster. Nice piece though. My problem is brake shudder when slowing down from freeway speeds. The rotors feel warped and the freekin' car only got 400 miles on it! Oh well, thats what the warranty is for eh?

Actually, ... the flex that's caused when braking causes a "mushy" feeling from the brake pedal. The bracket gives it a more positive feel. I think its kinda Suby related, b/c I never heard of this on other cars I've owned.

What kind of "shudder" are you talking about?? Sounds like you need to come out to a Solo II event for all of us to 'diagnose' your problem!!

So, anyone else want in on the bracket purchase?

OK, Monday is the deadline.

NOSS, the bracket should help with stock brakes as well, ... my brakes are still stock too! I'm not a lucky 4-pot owner yet!

I added everyones name at the top who said they're in. You can either contact myself or Scooby South for payment. (if you have a credit card, go ahead and contact South)

Scooby South,

If you have the bracket in stock, and if it does indeed fit the 2002 USA WRX, and if it does make sense to do for those of us who have done big brake upgrades, then please email me at Steve Harvey to let me know how I can pay for one and have you ship it to Cobb Tuning asap. I am dropping off my WRX there on Tuesday afternoon, picking it up the following Sunday, they are doing a bunch more things, and this would be super to "add to the list" of what they are doing. Please let me know, thanks!
