Default Question for Seibon CW-II Hood Owners

can you take off the covers that are screwed on the under the vents to make them? the reason i ask is just to make sure they're not for heat protection against the carbon for warping or anything like that. any info would be appreciated.

i have a seibon rs style cf hood with the functional vent, and i havent had any problems with warping or anything like that
