----SOLD---- Thanks All !!!
Suby Community ROCKS! I'm following up with all that have asked for parts. The car sold for my asking $ so all parts on the car were sold with it. I still have: New/never used; Grimmspeed v1 crossover pipe-coated inside and out OEM 2006 WRX injectors STI I/C waterspray switch Grillcraft lower center grill - black Used parts; The very rare Prodrive mudflaps for 02-03 1 set of EBay headlights 1 set of OEM-Koji/Drew modded headlights 1 set of OEM WRX front brakes (rotors/calipers/Hawk HPS pads) -Drew 2002 WRX Wagon, Black, 5-Speed, 91kmi. Seriously pampered… Asking $12,000 I am the original owner and this was my first real car. I just turned 40 and always had used cars or my wife bought new and I was allowed to drive it . I took really good care of it and everyone’s’ first impression is always something like “do you ever drive that thing” or “how are you able to keep it looking like that after 5 yrs?.” Like I said, it was my first ‘real’ car and I treated it as such. Having had to put my wife through school and later to stay home and help raise the kids I often felt that my modding/enjoying my car like I had always dreamt I would, may never happen. It did, just a little late in life. On to the car, it’s had some suspension work shortly after purchasing it and I went Cobb Stg2 at 25k mi. From there nothing more but the wash every weekend, wax once /mo or so, and the usual 4k oil changes (+air filter, etc. and of course the usual scheduled maintenance). It wasn’t until last year that I finally landed a great job and found a package of new parts in the mail every other week or so. Excited to finally start catching up with friends that have modded (but yet moved on to something better like an STI, EVO, etc.), I managed to tastefully mod to the point where I had to slow down to reevaluate my spending and then somehow I find myself thinking of the law of diminishing returns. I know, I know …ya just can’t mod a car and go there, but I did. So, now getting a taste and wanting more, I plan to buy a Spec-B. Mod List; Engine / Misc Drivetrain ECUTEK - Tuned just this weekend by Tim Bailey (9/29) 2nd boost map is set to wastegate boost = your fuel economy map. Tim told me (My first tune with him a couple months ago) that my car was the most powerful Stg2 2.0l he has ever seen. It peaked at 248whp/257wtq (he then went on to say that some come in with a VF34 and leave with #’s very close). I asked for a conservative map that focused on torque and fast spool (it must be the old guy in me). He tuned it to 224whp/248wtq. The motor idles very smooth, boost response is crazy fast, and it’s running great! V7 STI TMIC Perrin Turbo Inlet T/Body coolant mod. Intake Snorkel cut out but upper mount retained (maximizes air intake better than the GPMoto elbow). Prodrive BCS Kartboy shifter bushings Kartboy S.Shifter New OEM under hood insulation panel Samco TMIC hoses Fumoto oil drain valve Optima yellow top battery Exhaust Grimmspeed V2 Header/Crossover STI up pipe Stromung shorty divorced DP Prodrive mid pipe OEM resonator Prodrive Oval Axleback Kartboy hangers Brakes Rotora BBK (in blue) & their ‘street’ pads Motul RBF 600 fluid Goodridge SS Lines H-6 rotor upgrade Endless Vita Nuova pads in rear (matches blue of fronts) Suspension Whiteline Sways: 22mm Front / 20-24mm Rear Whiteline Comfort Anti-lift kit (ALK) Koni inserts Prodrive Springs Rota SubZeros - Silver w/polished lip 225/45/17 Toyo T-1Rs (about 25% left) Kartboy rear Endlinks Camber set to -1.5 front / -1.3 rear by Darrin at Westend Alignment Exterior / Interior, Other OEM Autodim/Homelink mirror JDM Headlights (rockblocker headlight protection thrown in-but you will install it) JDM STI Hoodscoop with splitter(to properly match V7 TMIC). JDM grill JDM rain visors Yellow Rockblocker on fogs Fiamm Airhorn - 139 dB at 4 feet, 115dB at 6 feet (more European sounding than the Supertones), stealth install in the drivers side fender (yup…still very loud). NRG Carbon hood struts Momo Air Leather Shift Knob (matches OEM steering wheel) OEM boost gauge OEM Gauge housing w/ Autometer 52mm Oil Temp / EGT / Fuel Pressure EGT gauge needs a new probe installed to work. I have the new probe that will be included. Other gauges are working perfectly. 35% tint Replica STI shifter surround Prodrive Floor mats Autobahn mirror on driver’s door XM Roady installed in front of ash tray Aluminum dead pedal matching the others This is a daily driver and is not in showroom condition but is in very good condition (only two very small door dings, one bird dropping mishap in the clear coat, usual stone chips in front bumper, and a scratch in the right rear quarter panel from my daughter walking her bike past it on the right side-just yesterday!) and GREAT mechanical condition (which can be verified by Kevin at Garage Tuning & Tim Bailey of Surgeline Tuning – both are very familiar with my car). The car is in North Orange County SoCal. I am not wanting to part out but a few items may sell separately: JDM headlights Rotora BBK Parts I was just about to put on that I’ll let go for a very small $ increase are (and these would finish it off nicely): USDM STI instrument cluster: working and flawless The VERY RARE Prodrive molded mudflaps Fender Braces Kartboy front Endlinks Grillcraft lower grill (haven’t yet bought the fog covers) Factory Crossbars and Bike Rack Parts I have lying around: Whiteline ‘Flatout’ Springs – were on the car for its first 2.5yrs or so & have been sitting outside in the weather. Some surface rust won’t affect their performance. STI - I/C switch new in box Grimmspeed V1 crossover pipe SPT Intake and Heatshield 4 new oil filters OEM: Grill, TMIC, Splitter, dash clock, and all OEM exhaust parts to make it easy to go stock or pass smog. That should just about do it. Asking $12,000 Find Pics Below

Thanks, I try to keep the mods simple and clean.
Not parting out just yet. If I don't get an offer within a reasonable amount of time as is then I'll disect it. It's been too long, search the net for blindspot mirror. It has been great, very good visability and zero vibration. Drew |

Beautiful wagon, but almost 5K over blue book. Yikes!!! Whatever you do don't trade it in and get raped with the 8K trade in value. The good news is a lot of dealers are offering above trade-in due to the resale the WRX has had.

That is an absolutely gorgeous car, the fact you managed to keep the black that clean on an Impreza is worth over Blue Book alone.

Car is absolutely flawless fellas. I've seen/driven the car before and it is an absolute blast to drive. The car drives smoothly, suspension is set-up just right for the street (and is track worthy with just a few clicks on the adjustable Koni's)...there's really no other 02 WRX you'll find this immaculate. Of course there are the normal exterior wear and tear...but all of which are quite minor. Pictures just don't do the vehicle justice. I can definitely vouch for the TLC that went into this car. Everything was done purposefully and tastefully (if you didn't notice in the pictures already...) If you want an honest opinion about the car...feel free to PM me with questions and I'll be glad to answer them.
![]() As for you Drew...good luck on the sale. I'm 100% sure...the next owner with be satisfied. Honestly...14k is being generous...the car is really just that great! PS-My GF said she'd take it...but doesn't know how to drive stick... Kind Regards, Ryan Last edited by r12rex; 10-03-2007 at 12:31 AM. |

Thanks for the kind words!
It's not perfect but I did try my best to keep it as new looking as I could. The Pic above are w/ no wax. I'll shine it up good before I pass on the keys. Last weekend was the last time Tim Bailey was under the hood and man...the power delivery is smooooth, very linear. Tim definately knows his stuff. I'm having a blast driving it to work. Remember guys, this motor is another of the rare factory freaks - it's very strong. With the usual request (I had asked specifically for a conservative tune) for a semi aggressive tune Tim told me it should be at around 238whp/248wtq (it peaked at 248whp/257wtq before the tune!) as it is. Almost....more like stg 3.875 lol... I almost decided to keep it yesterday, and thinking what I'd do next. Had I chose to keep it my future mod list would look something like; Black Leather Interior w/Alcantara inserts to mimic the 08 Spec-B Black carpet from an 04 Stereo/speaker upgrade Rear strut bar Rota Torques -gunmetal as an 17x8, and Falken 452's (gotta go wider ![]() Put all the parts on from my parts list above Last would be an EvoIII 16G Not much left that can be done after that, custom sunroof maybe? With this combo of parts it would be one of a kind. Forgot to mention in my description, the rear fenders were shaved and the cut nicely prepped = no rust anywhere. Wider rims are no problem. Still dreaming of a modded Spec-B... BoostORZ; the Whiteline springs have a similar drop to S-Techs. Very low and look/ride great. I thought about putting them back on now that the suspension can be corrected with roll center adjusters and ball joint extender kits. Both products were not available when I went with the Prodrives. I no longer have the stock wheels.
I understand my asking price may be a bit high so I logically have only a few options. Hopefully someone realizes the value in a car this well kept, agrees with the direction the owner went with the mods, and understands the costs imvolved with getting back to this point if the owner went completely back to stock. Cost of the car + cost of mods = ok so it's a good value, and it's bought as is. I'm forced to lower the $ and a few mods come off as a result (eg, brakes and headlights for starters). Lastly, returned to stock and I trade it in to the dealer instead - more work / less hastle. I'm accepting lower offers via PM. highest of them will be taken more seriously. Knowing what it takes to buy a car and spend $ modding, it is sooo much easier (and you get to enjoy the car at this stage sooner than later) to carefully choose one that is clean and well taken care of and the owner went in the same direction modding the car as you would have. It's well worth saving for difference. Problem is in choosing the 'right' modded car. |

Bump for you. The car is cleaner than 98% of the 02-03 bugeyes I see...heck...it's as clean as my car...
This definitely says something. Again, I can't stress enough how well this car was taken care of. The direction of mods that the owner took were made very carefully and is well suited for daily driving duty. You can't really go wrong. Good luck with the sale...hope the next owner is as caring and loving to the car as you are! ![]() |
