I wave to most any suby driver. I find that most rs & Legacy drivers get a confused look and the STi drivers just ignore me. The WRX drivers pretty well ALL wave back.

Out here in Vegas the wave is done for the most part unless you see someone from Flat4.
I've gotten the four from a Cox van on the freeway and an old Ford ranger. I still wave at every suby I see, every now and then I'll get somethin back, but usually they floor it and weave through traffic showing off the sweet BOV they have.

I wave to all subies as well. Funny thing is, I had an EVO IX MR at one point as well. And when i waved at other EVO owners while i was driving it, they would give me like a dirty look and speed off. Im not saying thats it's all EVO drivers, but there is certainly a difference IMO with the subie wave and the EVO wave.

I wave to the people who have cars that look like mine

If i tried to wave to everyone I'd have a sore wrist with how many I see in traffic every day up here - but their all station wagons the 04/05 (even the 06/07) STIs are distintive enough that they stand out enough to get my attention.

Thats howie do it....

There are so many subarus around here, I would basically be driving with one hand all the time if I waved at each one.

And that's why we all ignore each other here. Unless there's a pirates sticker, I don't pay attention.

haha, this reminds me of an article i read a while back about the new STi and how people automatically associated with subaru's are old or lesbians, or old lesbians.
then they hit me with the WOTD: Lesbaru. a subaru owned by a lesbian. haha.

back on topic.

i throw up a peace or a nod and usually get one back from any subaru driver.
except that guy in the brat. i wonder what his deal was...

I wave at all subies, I don't care if its a grandma in an outback lol. its hit or miss here in jersey, but most WRX/STIs return the gesture.

..as far as other brands, when I had a jeep I would get waves CONSTANTLY. and my sister has a cooper S and those mofo's practically jump out the sunroof waving lolol

You can't wave at subies here.
There are damn too many!

PNW is a famous subie owner place.
Most of em are owned by soccer moms, die-hard nature lovers, or spoiled kids.

The Texas suby community is very tight, iv never had a suby rev or race me, we all just wave, even if we gotta slow down or speed up to. Usually i dont even have time to give a wave first. But they are all wrx/sti's.
And a wave to an evo,...shame on you for consorting with the enemy.

i hate it when someone waves to you and you notice late or you are not in a position to wave back. mid turn and shiffting. i always feel like an ass when that happens.

i usually try to do the most retarded wave possible anytime i see another subie, weither i know them or not. and a beep of the horn.

suby wave is not as common in canada... there are a lot more subarus on the road here, but it does happen from time to time.

The most it happened is when I got my 07 at the tail end of 06.. I'm pretty sure I was the first newport blue in my city, so when other subie owners saw it on the road, it was special. Also... being my first subaru, I would encounter other first time subaru owners who were just as excited... if not more... there was a car of 2 girls who had obviously just picked up their 2.5 who were very happily and excitedly waving to me on the highway.

Should've asked for their numbers.

Too many Subarus around Chicago. I usually only wave at modified subarus, or if I can tell they might wave back (STi/FXT Limited/WRX driver), Everyone other model subaru is driven by old librarians here, and they just look at you weird.
