Default AMR "Custom Pistons"

I called AMR today because I am looking to do a pretty extensive build, which includes nitrous, built block and a FP RED. I talked to the person there who seems like is in charge of a lot and knows most of what is going on there. He told me allt hese great things about their pistons, btu unfortanetly wouldnt disclose who actually makes them. He first stated that they were their own pistons, and all the research was done to make them perfect. Then i asked what pistons they atsrt out as and he wouldnt disclose that information, I then said well I am not too fond of putting one of the main parts in my engine and not even knowing what it started out as. Long story short I guess I will have to choose between wiseco pistons and CP. Does anyone have any advice as to which ones to go with. Thanks.

CP, very quality and a great company to deal with. I believe Ron @ Axis/Raw Performance is one of their biggest Subaru piston buyers.

everybody (including myself) has there own take on what piston is best...after doing all the research, I chose to base my piston off of a JE slug (be it, nothing about it is stock). It is like asking what's the best way to break in a motor.
Everyone will have there own opinion.

I agree, and I use JE pistons as well...

But that is just my personal choice...

All the builders seem to do this -it makes 'em feel special. I wouldn't sweat it too much, since you can bet your butt they're made by one of the big boys (JE, CP, Wiesco). FWIW, both Cobb and Cosworth have their slugs made by JE, and I think even Crawford is using them now too.

You’re right Fly, my pop uses JE and CP as well. They are booth good but some customers prefer one over the other.

Techworks uses Wiseco slugs... Also I don't think I've heard anything bad about Mahle either.
