Exclamation FS: Custom Spare Tire Well Enclosure LOADED With Woofers.

I'm sad to be selling this, as I invested a lot of time to build it right...

Up for sale is my custom-made enclosure. It's constructed of fiberglass and 3/4in MDF, loaded with two dual 4ohm voice coil Image Dynamics IDQ10 woofers, wired for 4ohm total load at the amp.

Woofer specs: http://www.imagedynamicsusa.com/tech...ype=sub&id=idq
Box internal volume is ~1.04cuft, a perfect fit for these woofers (naturally, as I built it that way )

Should fit any 93-2007 sedan spare tire well.

Box is secured through stock spare tire mount location (inside the box).

Assembly pics and more here:
http://dave.oc7.org/images/sub.box/index.html

Full thread on the build-out here:
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=817493

Box cost just over $110 to build, woofers cost $140, $30 in misc materials...

Only selling because I want to re-invent the wheel, with a single amp and single 12in woofer and would rather build a new box than destroy this one to re-face it.

Offers?

Thanks,

-- Dave

Bump for one of the most industrious owners on here.

Were it not overkill for me, I would be on this. However, I will be jacking your design & idea to try & fab a single 10 back there.

course...still haven't started on my 2nd set of rims yet...

I can't believe nobody is jumping on this..!!

Dave, if it weren't for me having subs lying all over the place in the garage, I'd be on it like stink on poo.... Have you thought of a total you'd be after for them? My GC8 is looking for a enclosure to ... I was thinking about one 10 in each rear side panel next to the rear seat... but i like this set up as well...

Can the IDQ be wired for 1ohm total? NM, they can.... It the box a single chamber, or did you put a baffle between them?

Did you ever get rid of them sexy MB amps? man if i had the money ATM, I'd buy it all... lol

I currently have them wired for 1ohm, but was going to re-wire for 4-ohm when they sell... I have to take one out of the box anyways to unbolt it from the trunk.

Both woofers share a single chamber and are wired in phase.
It's the most musical setup I've built yet...now I just have to one-up it =)

I'm thinking this box, with woofers, should go for just around $200, but I'll take offers and possible other audio trades, as I need a headunit, and other misc. things for the next install...

I still have one Quart amp left... my RAA2400 (250x2@4ohm).

Shipping is about $25-45 estimate.

I'd like to see at least $200 for the setup, so $250 shipped?

If you had them both I migha considered it, but, having missmatched amps is just squidish...

Still considering this... I wish someone would just buy it from you so I wouldn't be considering spending the money... decisions decisions...
