Default WTB: Impreza RS (White, Manual, Two-Door)

My SRT-4 has sold as of this weekend and now I'm seriously looking for a Impreza RS under 6k.

Don't care about the miles as long as it meets my requirements below:

-Manual transmission
-Two doors
-Running motor and okay transmission to drive through the winter coming up.
-White paint
-AWD
-Within 6-7 hour drive from Cincinnati, OH

Not looking for:
-Four door or wagon
-Any paint color other than white
-Already swapped
-2002 or Higher WRX

I look there, cars.com, autotrader.com, here everyday.

I clearly also said, I don't want a swapped car and I want a White RS.

White is a difficult color for GM's... I think I've seen more greens AND reds than I have white.

GMs.... ?

One thing that sucks right now... is I need to find this "car" within a few weeks. I'm driving one of my parents' business vehicles and can't keep driving it for more than a month. I'm not someone just toying around with the idea, it's a sure thing

Well if your looking for something asap you may not want to be as picky.

I do have a sedona red pear 00' RS for $5500 if you end up needing something asap.

It depends on the mileage. Is it a White Two door RS with a manual transmission?

Thanks but no thanks.

If I buy a car, it's going to be the exact color I want.

I just looked on autotrader, for the whole United States and not a single one for sale. I look quite often and very rarely see white and if they are white its a four door. I'll keep an eye out for you, I know this is a long time coming for you.

From one white rs owner to a future white rs owner, I wish you luck.

Looking on www.cars.com for the entire US there is a white 2 door L in Elmhurst, IL. And a white 2 door 2.5RS manual trans. in Wiscasset, ME (Maine).

White is very hard to find, good luck on the hunt.

-The white 2 door L is FWD, even tho it says AWD. (I called them last week about it)
-The white 2 door in Wiscasset, ME is actually a L with a RS hood and is also too far away (850 miles)

Thanks for looking tho!

Let's see...
GM = 2 door RS coupe
5 spd manual
Silverthorn metallic (best color imo)
Chassis has 82k
Newer 2.5 engine from ECS has 30k

I'm not letting it go for less than 7.5k. Oh did I mention I am in Cincinnati.

I just sold my SRT-4 that was Silver. I do not want a Silver car, Silver is the most boring color and common color on all cars today.

Check on RS25.com. There was a guy there about 2-3 weeks ago in NY that was selling a higher mileage white 1999 RS coupe for under $4K. East Coast Swappers could make that into a beast for you too, and since they're nearby, you could drive it over.

I had considered it myself, but I just don't have the time to go out there and get it.

Also, there was a guy in WV (not far from you) that had a 1997 white impreza L sedan for around $3K on the 'car for sale' forum about a week ago. I know its not exactly what you want, but if you need something soon, it could be a possible option (and its pretty cheap).

is that the L? 01?
I dont think the owner knows what he's talking about, subarus became AWD standard in 96 or 97 unless he converted it which I doubt.

I check there everyday and I haven't seen that one. However I did see a White RS two door forsale in WV with a damaged motor but it was too far. At this point, I think it's just better for me to find a White RS Coupe with a stock motor so I can pay it off quickly and then spend money on it.

Yeah... I'm tired of Sedans... if I wanted a sedan I would buy a White WRX.

Yeah, that's the dealership I called. Are you 100% about that? I could call back and ask the guy again... heh.

I looked at the white 01 L coupe in Elmhurst, IL that you have listed. The car has a nice sized crease in the quarter panel and realistically, for $6K on a car with almost 100K miles, you'd be better off just waiting for an RS. I'll look for the link of the one on RS25.com. Maybe you missed it...

People with RS' with 160k miles ask around 5,500-6,000.00 for their cars. And they were 99's. I didn't catch the quarter panel tho, good eye.

I doubt I'd have ECS do my swap, not that I'm saying they do bad work or anything but my friend here locally will do the entire engine swap with wiring for 1500. Plus I'd probably have to find a motor for 2-3k when I really want a v7, v8 STi motor and they are around 4500-5000... in which I'd rather just save up. I'll easily be able to do a STi swap late next year if I get a stock RS now.

Heheh, told ya I look everywhere... haha. Yeah, he didn't want to come down in the price and the car is too far to tow back to Cincinnati. Plus the door isn't lining up with the fender too, just adding that... I'm not super picky and I know any used car I buy is going to have something bad with it somewhere.

Welp, looks like I'll continue to wait. Hopefully I'll have some luck here soon.

I appreciate looking for me! The Subaru community is alot better and there are many less rice boys than there are on SRT Forums, heh.

In 1996 Subaru declared that all their cars were AWD from then on. So if you find a 96+ Subaru that is really FWD, someone converted it or is lieing about it's model year.
