Default H E L P !

Well driving down the 101 just now, and my car starting running like s**t! My CEL started blinking, backfiring like crazy, lugging around everywhere. I was almost home, so I didnt go above 30-35 just to get it home in one piece! The CEL would blink, then it would stop for about 30 seconds then start blinking again. It feels like something is bogging it down? I dont know! I was cruising in 2nd gear in traffic, then in an instant it got real boggy then my CEL started blinking. Any suggestions off the top of your head?.?.?.?.? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had didnt have anywhere to STOP... Its right about time for me to change my oil. Its been roughly 2500 miles. I only use royal purple 10w40 w/napa gold filter. Did my 30,000 about 2 months ago. Only use shell or chevron gas.

Go pull the negative off of your battery and then turn your dome light on and hit the brakes a few times to drain any juice. Connect it and see if you still have a problem.

... Probably should've gotten the code read first... ah well. If it doesn't replicate, problem solved!

I would have pulled the codes first, if the CEL came on, it should have a stored fault code.
Did you check your blinker fluid? it may be low.

True, If it comes back I have an obd-2 cable so we can check for any codes and see if any sensors are doing anything wack.

Vato Zone will rent them to you or they should come out and check it for you. For some reason I remember hearing they can give false codes although.

Well s**t! Your saying I should of read the codes first? Tod from DComp is on his way over in a few with his laptop and such. So were going to check it out in a bit. But without the CEL on will he still be able to pull a code to see whats going on? Its still idling the same...

Tod is still off of Greenway and 56th st at his house. Where do you live, and would you really mind heading over to see if we can figure out the problem? I live off Country Club and the 202
