Default Possible flywheel or starter problem

I was driving down the street down shifting and decelrating when I heard a metalic sound and the car cut off. I attempted to turn the car over but it made a buzzing noise like the started wouldnt even turn. I replaced the starter but now it sounds like the used starter I replaced it with may be ground down I am not sure. My friend and I attempted to pop the clutch, which was a no go. My questions are first I have a hydra which already takes a long time to turn over as compared to the stock ecu, especially with my fuel system, is it even possible to pop a clutch in that situation? Second what the heck could be wrong?
