Hmmm I might have to save and pick this up possibly? I need a wheelin rig since my coupe is well, not an offroader. I got a place to stash it too since I can't have more then 2 cars at the apartment

If you have this still in a month or so, I'll definatly be interested in taking a look!

Sure, there is no rush in me getting rid of it. I'm just going to wait until I can either get what I want out of it money wise or else find a way to hide it in some bushes or move it from park and ride to park and ride. It really is a fun wheeler though. I also might be willing to set up some kind of payment plan if you wanted it sooner.

Payment plan is tempting but I need to get a couple bills paid first before I do any major purchasing.... I'll let you know in a couple weeks what we might hae to work out though

Oh yeah I forgot to mention, I am willing to take WRX parts in trade if they'll fit my wagon.

I'd have to take some and like I said, the car is at my buddies place. Here's what it looks like, only red and still with stock front bumper and no snorkel or any of that. This is actually the exact lift I've got, though my tires might be an inch bigger.

Two bits of good news. First off, I don't think it's the head gasket. I drove it around yesterday and it doesn't over heat or bubble at all as long as it's moving. I think it's either thermostat or the radiator. I know it needs a new radiator anyways. Also, price drop to $1200 obo. PM me.

so I'm still thinking about buying this for a trail rig so I don't beat up my Toyota. Would it pass emmisions easy? I'm gonna bet its carbed so SPFI swap would be on the way for it.

I just never liked how the rear tires sit so far forward in the wheel wells from the AA lift

It's got a full stock exhaust on it so I don't see why it wouldn't pass emissions. It might have a couple exhaust leaks but I don't see why that would change the reading at the tail pipe. Of course I don't know how hard it is to get those old Subies to pass emissions, you'd know better than me. And yeah I agree it looks kind of goofy but it was trimmed really well. Oh and BTW I got the full sized extra wheel in the mail. I'm updating the original post with everything.

The cooling problem that you are speaking of sounds like the electric fan is not functioning. It is supposed to come on when it gets hot. When you are moving you have air flow over the radiator. When you are stopped you don't. So it will heat up. The cooling fan is supposed to kick on with the temp sensor in the radiator and cool it down. When it gets hot check for power at the fan if there is power make sure to check for a ground. If it has both replace it. If it doesn't check for possible bad relay/fuse/ground/temp switch.

I'm willing to bet its a bad radiator though, Seen it more times then I can shake a stick at but he hasn't said if the fan is kicking on or not.

Actually the fan is now hard wired in so that it comes on when it starts up. I did that because it was coming on too late before. Either way it could use a new radiator, though, and from what trouble shooting I've done and what I've read on USMB it sounds like there's a good chance that's the problem.
