Default Best tire size for 02 wrx wheels

Im running these on my lowered 96. Right now Im running Kuhmo 205/55/r16. My problem is im rubbing like crazy. What size is the best option for an all season where I wont rub anymore?

One place said I should have 205/50 and another said they think Id be better off with the 205/45s. What do you all think?

How much are you lowered? It must be quite a bit if you're rubbing on 205/55/16.

Yeah, that's gotta be at least a 2" drop or more. In the Subaru world, that's dumped.

Oh...well I guess my definition of dumped is a little different. You couldnt fit your foot under my friends dub. Anyway...I think Im going for the 45's just to be absolutly sure. The general UHP is the best all season I can really find in that size and in my price range.

That's pretty slammed man. Either raise your ride height or get 45 series tires.
Where are you rubbing by the way, front or back, or both?

What size tires did your care come with? Have you used a tire calculator to determine the equivalent 16" OD?

The fronts are rubbing on the inside edge for the most part. The recommended for a 16in rim on a 96 is 205/50/16. But b/c of how low I am I feel safer going with the 45's. The ones on there right now are 55s b/c I got them on prior to my new suspension.
