I tuned this beautiful 07 STI Limited the other day. The setup is dead simple:
APS TBE (Catted) AP V2 with EQ Tuning custom tune on 91 Octane That's all there is to it! The results are simply amazing considering 91 Octane and a catted car! I've only seen one other stage 2 car break 280whp on 91 before and it had a lot more done to it and of course it was catless. This is a particularly strong engine and I just love the way the APS TBE performs and sounds... its really worth the price. Here's the plots: ![]() Thanks -- Ed

Ed has is own road dyno that is comparable to a low reading mustang dyno, and (Ed correct me if I am wrong) his 280whp is equivalent to trapping 107-109 mph.

what's your feeling on using a MBC? Dont you lose all safetly features that are built into the stock ECU to prevent overboosting, etc? I really want that instant "on" response, but can't decide if its worth it for my daily driver.

The car runs great, and throttle response obviously can't be compared to stock, stock factory issued reflash, or even Ed's crisp stage 1 tuning.
Torquey, smooth, and clean are some of the descriptions I'll use to decribe how Stage 2 feels now. For comparison's sake, the car put down 238whp on the Gruppe-S Mustang dyno. With Ed's trick road dyno software the car put down 239whp stock and then 259 after Stage 1 pro-tuning. To say it runs great is actually an understatement. The exhaust note is amazing and it's a blast to drive! Thanks again Ed. ![]() ![]() Last edited by seanl; 10-08-2007 at 06:06 PM. |

I have an APS Catted 3" too, sounds great and cops don't even know it's not stock. I was getting a speeding ticket once and the cop stopped talking because she couldn't hear me (it was the freeway noise), she went back and looked at my exhaust and then came back and kept talking.
I'm still waiting on a few mods and $$ to get a pro-tune. If Ed was up in WA, I would hit him up for a tune. Luckily we have Tim Bailey up here ![]() |

Just got my 07 STI pro-tuned with ECUTEK 2 days ago... I have TurboXS 3" high flow cat only, and my results were 295 whp and 326 torque! I love it!!! These 07's have a lot of potential! Thanks to Tim Bailey!!!
