Default 06 sti just got back from drag strip, Results:

Well to tell u the truth i went very very excited to the track and came back extremely dissapointed, so much so that i am bout to just stop modding and not even mess wit it anymore.Temp was bout 90 ish degrees, lots of humidity. Mods are FMIC, BOV, CAI, Turbo inlet, fuel pump, TBE, cobb AP tuned at 335 AWHP and 328 Lbs. Tq. My best run which was a while back was only on a TBE untuned, i ran 13.3.

1st run:
R/t: .076
60: 1.859
330: 5.612
1/8: 8.687
MPH: 80.30
1000: 11.294
1/4: 13.506
MPH: 102.87

2nd Run: Mis shifted on fifth
.117
2.075
5.987
9.139
78.18
11.795
14.047
100.54

3rd Run:
-.011
1.868
5.707
8.803
79.28
11.430
13.747
96.92

4th Run: (Grinded second gear)
-.274
1.983
6.314
9.561
76.51
12.257
14.555
98.38

5th run: (Second gear would not go in again!!! rrggg)
.152
1.999
6.321
9.648
74.89
12.370
14.649
99.55

6th run: (Unbolted exhaust at downpipe)
.123
1.881
5.760
8.876
78.96
11.492
13.712
101.90

I spend tons of time and money tryin to get everything right and i did not even beat my best time. Can anyone see where i went wrong on these runs? I let the car cool for bout 20 min per run, actuallly there were two runs where i let cool down for an hour and i put a bag of ice on manifold. I launched at bout 5500 RPM and i DID NOT release PSI from my tires, i dont think that makes much of a difference. My friend wit a N/A rsx has a TSX motor and ended up running 12.6!!!!!! He had slicks, and his 60 ft was like 1.8, and his trap speed was 108! I dont understand what im doing wrong, any HELPFUL advice would be truly appreciated!

Alot of people are probably going to tell you to lose the BOV, but i doubt that's going to have that much affect on your Times or Mph. The only thing I could think of would be to adjust your shifting points. Head to the track again when it cools down and it isn't so humid. You'll probably get some better times

Well first of all man (not to be mean but)....dont start comparing your runs and car to a totally different car!!! It could have been a number of things unfortunetly.....it could have been the weather (the temp and humidity), the way the track was prepped! Check all your piping especially since you have a FMIC. Im not too sure about this but......I have heard that a FMIC on stock turbo is worthless and also your BOV there.

i was tuned WITH the fmic, and i have the aps bov which my tuner said was good. Me and him have always been at it, he is my biggest rival, and thats why i wanted to break into the 12's but i dont really think the temp had much to do with it cuz my friend ran 20's until he started popping those 12's!

Your 60ft time sucks. You should be able to hit 1.6-1.7 pretty easily. What are your DCCD settings/launch habits?

Something is wrong... those look like stage 2 2.5l wrx slips. And trap speed fluctuating by 7 mph?? wtf.

Check for boost leaks and log it.

It also looks like you really need to work on your driving if you want good numbers.

+1 on the fmic/bov being worthless on a vf39.

hey altima04 im in the same boat as you. my mods are similar except i have TBE, headers, bigger tmic, meth (50/50), fuel pump, +1 plugs and a protune but yet i can only hit 101 traps, with a best of 13.1, and all were 1.7 60ft.
but when i was on OTS map with just a TBE i was hitting 104 traps.

i think my tune is F***** up.

i really have no idea. I dont have the street tuner software i was tuned at agile and it seemed to go well. I dont know whats wrong i think it could be my driving. But when im on the street i beat a lot of cars that will prob beat me on the track i dont know what it could be.

You just can't drive. That is exactly what is wrong. You missed shifts on 3 out of 6 runs and not a single 60' less than high 1.8x's.

Practice. If I had to guess, you are pussing out on the line and letting the revs down before you let your clutch out....Either that or you are letting the clutch out before you rev it up all the way. Watch some video, I bet you any amount of money your front end comes back down off the line from bogging the motor.

definitely check for boost leaks, try dynoing again. Your car is not making full power. That trap is too low for the power you are supposedly making.

Your Mods looks very familiar. Since I have a friend w/ same et. issues.

1st get rid'of:

FMIC, BOV, CAI - Once you do should be in the 12.8 range.
