seems like the car ran out of steam at the 1000 ft mark.. any idea what those times/mph were? you deff. had the car beat all the way to the 1/8 mile......maybe shift better??? i don't know something does not add up....what were you running against? and how much hp/tq are you making?

That 108 trap shows the car has some power, but i would think with your launch (which i think is decent) and your trap that you should have a lower ET. Maybe it's the extra shift in the 6-speed. Personally i'd be happy with that run and it looks like it was a good race. If you want a quicker ET, get that launch into the 1.7s and i think you could run a 12.4.

The 07's have some longer gears, this has been discussed. They also make some insane power when tuned. The OP is also at 5000ft elevation, let's not forget that. Congrats on a personal best, I would think you could get sub 12.4 passes out of that if you can get the 60ft down and dial in shift points (maybe they're not perfect where they are).

That plus pump 91 results in a pretty good run if you ask me. |

Area 51 dragway is in Roswell and is listed as 3700 ft altitude.
For a turbocharged car you need to use the 1/2 correction factors so his 12.669 @ 108.68 corrects for altitude to a 12.445 @ 110.505 run near sealevel. Not bad times for altitude, it took us over 5 years for someone to run anything faster than a low 12 here at Denver and 5800 ft altitude. As far as the 60' time, you should be able to get that down in the mid 1.7x with a bit of practice but altitude makes it more difficult to get a good launch than it is at sea level due to its effects on the turbocharger. (it takes longer to build boost and the turbo has to work significantly harder to make the same boost). Larry |
