Default Anyone running a gt30r or gt35r on a wrx hybrid

Im lookin into doing a wrx hybrid setup. 257 shortblock and 2.0 heads with some kind of cams. ( alot of ppl like the sti cams) Does any run the 30r or 35r on this setup? if so what kinda power are you making and what is your head setup?

people have run those turbos on ej255's. wouldnt see why you shouldnt be able to do a hybrid setup.

Brydon on RS25 was running at GT35R on a setup like that. Made pretty sick power.

Wow i juist found it over there. he did make good power. seems that the stock wrx heads and the fuel pump were holding him back a bit.

604 whp @1.8 BAR on VP109

im in the process of this build... about a months time all should be known.

GT35R 0.82 AR with a fully built 2.5 (sleeves, pistons, rods etc) and 2.0ltr STI V7 heads ported and with cosworth 278/274 AVCS cams...

But ive seen someone push 320 kw atw with the 2.5 and standard sti 2.0ltr heads with a GT35R and 25psi

I'm running a stock block sti with jdm v7 heads. GT30r I made 370whp & 329tq at 21 psi on pump 93, and 434whp & 394 tq on c16. The limiting factor was the compression ratio believed to be 9.6:1.

Isn't it better to have some big cams in there to let the turbo breathe? Wouldn't STi cams be a little small or atleast a limiting factor for a 30 or 35?

how much boost on c16?

It seems to me that when running 2.0 heads with a 2.5 shortblock you lose out on a lot of torque. I'm assuming this must be because of the 8.6:1 CR?

i have a 35r .82ar on my hybrid and put down 409 psi with 19psi with conservative a/f's, this was the last pull done while tuning then the next pull my AEM EMS fried.
