Default How much will the current STI's depreciate after the new body releases?

how much more would the current STIs depreciate after the new body STI is available?, will it be more of a hit than just a normal model year change without re-design?, or will the new body style it not have an impact on its depreciation at all besides the current one naturally depreciating due to age???

It'll probably be like when they changed the civic SI to the hatchback style, the 99-2000 styles went up in demand, and they didn't depreciate much. I'm sure the 06-07 style will stay in demand, because it seems a large amount of people don't agree with the new style.

First off its not a wagon its a hatchback. Second, its a newer model so of course your car is going to depreciate in value. Subaru sells to a bigger crowd than nasioc you guys gotta start realizing this.

They are actually selling alot of the new 2008's, I think the new STI is going to do very well.

They sold 450 more cars last month than 2007....that's not much considering it was a redesign

They won't depreciate any more than they already are. Any STI is always going to have a high demand and is going to depreciate slowly.

WOW that is it, only 450! I thought it would have been a lot more, that is like almost 1 or 2 more per dealer than last years month. that sucks..

Oh shut up already...by definition, it CERTAINLY is a wagon. Just call it whatever you want.

I swear to god if you people keep defending the "hatch term"...

Go open a dictionary...

who cares what its called? This isnt t3h OT.

I think the sedan STis might hold their value for a little while because there will be no more Sti 4door for a while.

The "older" STi's will go down in value every year as expected. I'd imagine they would hold their value fairly well when the 08's come out. If I do get a new STi I'd wait a year when it came out so they could sort the car out if needed.

I hope they depreciate enough for me to be able to afford one. I hate to say it, but the more people trade in their 06/07 Sti's for the 08's, the more available they'll be.. allowing me to finally find a reasonable used one. I seriously can't wait for the 08 beast to come out because I can get my 06/07 Sti in just a few months...

I think with the new design, the 04/05 and 06/07 will appreciate -- not depreciate

I didn't know so many soccer moms wanted STis!!

I guess it will just be time to turbo the RS since they STILL haven't brought a Spec C over.

considering the 08 looks like a god damn retarded kia/mazda mix...i don't think many people are going to dump their 04-07s- first time subaru owners will prob make up the majority of 2008 buyers since they are becoming more 'mainstream' cars that look like everything else on the road

i think the 04-07 may depreciate slower than they have in previous years-more people will want the 04-07s and less people will be coming off of them for a low price in order to get the newer body style. the 08s look like ass and i don't see 2nd/3rd/ect. subaru owners jumping to buy one
