Default "Mitsubishi EVO GSR 0-60 in 5.0!"

So I got my new issue of car and driver today and the cover car happened to be the new EVO GSR. Flipped to it and saw the down and dirty. They tested it at. 13.8 @ 102 in the quarter mile... wow... To me it really doesnt look good at all. Its too ordinary for the most part. The front end is OK. Everything else just looks big to me. Figured Id just go ahead and start up a thread. Please tell me there is going to be a better version... Or it may be beaten by the STI before either of them release!

There wasnt much in the mag.

Estimated price: $30,000
Engine Type: turbocharged and intercooled DOHC 16 valve inline-4, aluminim block and head, port fuel injection.
Displacement: 122 cu. in., 1998cc
Power: 295 bhp @ 6500 rpm
300 lb-ft @ 4400

Transmission: 5 speed manual
Estimated Weight: 3500 lb
0-60 in 5.0
0-100 in 13.4
1/4 mile: 13.8@ 102
70-0: 159 ft.

Wheels & Tires:
8.5x18in cast aluminum
245/40R-18 937 Yokohama Advan A13C

suposedly its incredibly slower in a strait line but faster in the turns then the previous model, and I for one hope thats true!

The GSR is the base model of course so the MR will get the 6 speed automated manual with paddle shifters! Still looks kinda dull inside tho but not nearly as bad as the previous models imo.

Its not so good in a stray line but other then stray liner racing it might not be that bad, supposedly its decent in the twistes... we'll see I guess. I do like the paddleshifters but I still would never buy that car..

i think it's the front end/grill that i detest so much about the car... like a volvo/audi/dodge wannabe. i just don't care for the look of it. i'm sure it'll be a fun twisties kinda car like the IX MR.
