Default Preliminary non-JDM 2008 STI specs

The images linked below are large in order to preserve legibility. Some things may change before the STI arrives next year. In particular, the STI model codes released to US dealers indicate that all models are equipped with 18" wheels:

So, the 17" wheel/tire information for the US in the charts below may be incorrect now. However, I know for sure that the peak HP and torque numbers for the US model are correct.

I believe that, in the charts below, U4 means the US market, C0 means the Canadian market and C4 means another market which receives North American spec STIs (probably South America).

Dammit... I knew those seats were too good to be true (for USDM anyway).

Well, hopefully these are subject to change (hence the preliminary). But without the Recaro seats and 320hp; I'm out.

I am just not going to swap out the seats. For others, this car looks pretty cool though.

Thanks for posting Jon

also, why does everywhere else get auto up driver side windows, but not North America? are they worried we'll accidentally lose an arm when getting our super-sized value meals @ mcd's? ugh, the stupid little things.

Same torque peak only 400rpm sooner, separate alarm remote key again, 15:1 steering when the JDM gets 13:1.

None of these are dealkillers for me, but neither do they fill me with new car craving.

Am I mis-reading the seat option here? Looks to me like we're getting the leather/alcantara Recaro's. ???

If they're only going to give us 305 horses, the tune better be a hell of a lot better than the stock '07 tune. No wicked hesitation or broken ring lands on stock tune pls.

i think you're misreading - the 4th seat option is blank for fat North Americans.

Those donīt have to be the final specs/options for the 08. Some things there have been proven wrong so far, so there is still hope for more HP and the Recaros to hit US shores.
