Default Subaru service in Vancouver

Who should I take my 2002 WRX wagon to for her 60,000 mile service in the Vancouver area?

I cringe when I think my only choice is DonDocksteader but who else is trustworthy. I also need a local specialist for tuning advice and work.

Id like replace my aftermaket up-pipe which has an air leak and put in something with an EGT bung. Also looking for some suspension work.

I know Rocket Rally is really good but they arent open during weekends and I work weekdays so getting up to squamish is a chore.

you should check out specialty motors in north van. Might still be a little out of your ways though. I'm not sure what their hours are like for weekend service if there are any at all. goodluck

Why do you cringe about Docksteader? I think most people would agree that they are the best dealership in Vancouver. I drive an hour out of my way to go there and I drive by Specialty every day...
A lot of people recommend 5 Zigen (a local member here) perhaps you can PM him?

Don't say to the dealership that you're taking it in for the "60k mi" service. Say that you want to find out how much the "96k km" service is instead.

LaterZ!
Darren!!

You could try Kon auto on clark & venables. I'm fairly certain the owner is competant as he's a certified subaru mechanic. They usually only work on subaru's & volvos. I got some work done there that would have been over $500 at the dealer and these guys charged me only $220 and did a good job without cutting corners actually going above & beyond my request's. Call them & get a quote you should probaly be able to get next day service & they're close to DT. Let me know if this help's.

Having options is good. Since DD closed it's shop in Coquitlam, I've had the hardest time bringing my car in for service because they're not open on weekends and it's too far for me to make it down there during the week .
