Default How do you replace the parking light switch?

I found out that I fried my parking light switch(Long Story). I was wondering if it is necessary to take the steering wheel off because it looked that way when I took apart the plastics around the steering column.

Before you get into that are you sure that the switch itself is bad. Normally other things go bad with the circuit unless the switch has been damaged due to excessive current running through it or physical damage has occured.
