Default Car cranks but wont start up!!

Thanks for all the help and comments. It ended up being the alternator.

So i was getting ready to go home from work the Tuesday evening and got in my car cranked it right up and let it idle for a minute or so when it just goes dead........ I tried to start it up again and no dice. Im thinking that the fuel pump may have gone out on the car because i couldnt hear it on crank but not entirely sure. I got no CELs and it has been running perfect since i got it. But here is the kicker I ordered a new walbro 255 pump and it is taking a couple days to get here so i am letting the car just sit up here in the parking lot till i get it and install it to save a towing fee. but i go out this morning and now my battery is DEAD. no power whatsoever. I cant even use the remote to unlock the car. What could be draining the power like this??? This cant be normal, could it? Could it be something other than the fuel pump in this case??????? Has anyone experience something like this before???

Thanks and all help is appreciated!

list mods and stereo upgrades please....

also make sure that you interior lights are not on and w/a burnt bulb...I have seen that happen ...open circuit putting a constant draw on the bat.

maybe 3 weeks or so. Its seemed to be running a lot smoother with it. I talked to someone about it and he thought it might be my alternator. It might have gone bad a couple days ago and the battery just finally drained of power??? does this sound right?

The guy told me that with the ecu on new car that if it does not have adequate power (i.e. alternator) then it would have shut the car off or cause it not to startup. Meaning no fuel so i guess that would explain not hearing the fuel pump running??? Can anyone relate maybe to this??

Make sure none of your dome lights are on but with a burnt bulb.

Also inspect the wires between your battery, alternator, starter motor, and fuse box for possible short to body grounds.

Possible to also take your battery and alternator down to autozone or something to get them tested...

Charge the battery, leave the key out and use an amp meter to find out what circuit is drawing current.

charge the battery & test it. also test the alternator and test for a draw.
then when you get it to crank and it still won't start, check for spark and fuel.

Hard to tell, but I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a short in one of my gauges.

I used this thread to track down the culprit.

I dont know but i would get the alternator tested. Thats what mine ended up being. If the ecu doesnt have enough power It will shut you car off in the middle of the road. Scary but it happens...

We hooked up jumper cables from my car to his to see if it would help any but it wouldnt start. We also checked the crank sensor, the fuel lines, we changed the spark plugs just in case. I found something really strange though..When we took out the spark plugs they were dripping wet with fuel EXCEPT cyl#4 (rear driver side) it barely smelled of fuel. Could an injector be bad on such a new car? We have never touched or come close to them. Would this keep it from coming on? I would have thaught it would come on and run like crap. Anybody???
