Thumbs down Procarparts.com

I bought a headlight conversion kit for my Impreza, as well as some eyelids. They made me pay EXTRA $12 for shipping to Canada... then...

They refused to send me the parts to my address in Canada because they don't deal with "International PayPal orders or International credit cards"!!!!

Regardless of that, they took the money from my PayPal account, and then refused to send me the items.

Then they said that they refunded my money... which they hadn't.

Also, most of the parts people from these forums have bought been of low quality, poor fitting, and no instructions sent!

Just beware of dealing with this company.

You guys need to know what your doing before you start badmouthing a company. If you think that ProCarParts suck, you must be prima donnas; there are a lot worse companies out there. Sure it costs more to ship to Canada, DUH!!! You could have cancelled your PayPal transaction by yourself, or stop payment on your credit card.

I've bought 3 items in the last 2 weeks, every one was exactly as advertised, fit perfectly, was of just fine quality. Prices were right. I hate UPS, but other than that every transaction was okay.

I'd buy from them again. If you've got a problem with them, then complain to eBay instead of just bit**ing.

Angry I think I'm getting screwed by www.procarparts.com, can anyone help?

Well, about 3.5 / 4 weeks ago I won an intake on e-bay from Procarparts.com. I thought nothing about it because I have ordered from them a few times previous without a single problem.

Well, after 2 weeks of trying to get an e-mail response, a fax reply and having their phone being busy at all hours of the day Mon - Sat. I'm starting to think I'm getting screwed.

They're located in El Monte California, is there anyone from the West Coast that knows where this place is or if they're going out of business???

Any help is appreciated.

I also am getting screwed. I got indiglo gauges from them about 2 weeks ago, and one of the gauges burned out in 2 days. I sent an email asking for a replacement, they emailed me back with a form letter that said they were sorry they sent the wrong part (whatever) and they would ship me another.

Since then, no word, I sent another email and am waiting for a reply...

That's what sucks, I've ordered from them before and had no problems, quick shipping, low prices, it was good.

Maybe they're screwing themselves by putting such a large volume of parts on e-bay without being able to handle it.

Either way I better get my intake soon or else I'm gonna get even more pissed.

I got another number for their e-bay inquiries 1-626-350-1143 , I finally got an answering machine when I called at 6am West Coast time.

I also won an intake off of ebay and it was for procarparts. Needless to say, it did take them two months to get the damn thing to me. I was able to easily get in touch with someone and got an answer very quickly. Although I felt that I was being feed a common line or delay tactic, at least I was able to talk to a human.

Thumbs down

i bought tail lights from them a year ago and they didnt fit properly at all>>then they wouldnt even exchange them>>>>>>so yeah they suck, they wouldnt even charge me actual shipping, so it was either drive 60 miles or pay 20 bucks just to ship across a couple of zip codes. If youve had good luck with them in the past and keep buying your lucks bound to run out cuz they blow nuts:monkey:

I'm expressing my opinion too.

When you children learn how to deal with the real world you ought to sit down and think about what you're complaining. Somebody complains that it costs more to shiop to Canada, NO FOOLING. It costs more to ship to the US from Canada too, right.

The company you're bad mouthing has processed almont 10,000 orders in the past six months according to E-bay. Yes, they've got over 650 complaints. If you know how to count past your fingers and toes you should be able to figure out that's about 7 %. IMHO, I don't think that's enough to say a company sucks. For every one complaint, there are 14 positive statements.

I'll stack my $100,000 a year job against your mall rat chasing deal anyday. If I want to save a bit of money what do you care.

Just be fair to the vendors, even who have low prices.

BTW, you bought there didn't you?????

Go blow your nose

My message is clear:
Dont buy from Procarparts if you want REAL parts.
BEWARE if you are Canadian, because they will never ship to you.

I've bought four items from these guys through ebay 4 times in the last 5 weeks. Everything was right, including the price. Paid between $35 and $200 for each item.

They use UPS for shipping which is about as slow as you can get, expecially to the east coast, 8 or 9 days sucks, but that's not procarparts fault. They sell a LOT of stuff according to ebay so I guess you've got to expect a screwup once in a while.

Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Phone is always busy, don't answer emails, etc. You just got to take the good with the bad sometimes.

They also don't seem to want to do business to Canada!!

I also just won an item from a guy on ebay named HPY82 who is a real scum sucker. I won a no reserve auction for a pink Subaru grill badge for $20.50. It's like the guy never existed. No email, tried calling phone doesn't work, I'm stopping payment on this idiot and gave real bad comment. Jackass probably wanted more and didn't know what a reserve was.

Sometimes you think you're safe with a lousy $20 item, WRONG.

So the CWEST kit that they are selling for 750, isn't the same product that everyone else is selling for twice that price? what's the deal, sounds kind of skecthy.... Half price is worth the risk.

I just got a set of projector headlights that are exactly the same as those being sold by ISR.

I got mine on ebay for a bid of $182, procarparts sells them for $219, I think ISR has them for $269.

The clear corner lenses and the side markers are not DOT certified, but I'll bet that half of them on the road aren't either. Procar's prices are about half, but I got them for about 10 to 15% less than that on ebay.

Once again, I havent had any problems, you don't need to be a genius or have instructions to install any of this stuff, just ask a question at iclub and you'll be fine.

That doesn't mean that the next transaction won't go sour, but they have less than a 10% complaint ratio. For the big savings like you're talking about, if they give you a hard time, you could fly to see them with your problem, and still have enough money left for a room for the night and a great meal WITH DRINKS in LA!!

just spent 45 minutes replacing the projector headlights I got from this company.

That includes remove and replace. No Instructions, didn't need them. Hardest part was wrapping the negative battery terminal so it wouldn't accidentally hit something.

Might take a few more minutes to aim them but it's morning so I guess that will have to wait.

Don't know if I'm going to get the eyebrows as I've got the full face bug guard and that looks pretty good already.

I'll be buying lots more from this company!!!!

They're definitely still in business, I just got stuff from them last week. They're impossible to get hold of by phone or email.

I bet if you stop in and tell them that someone's trying to get them and give them the story, they'd probably communicate back. Especially if you tell them about i-club.

I just finished getting my full refund from PayPal, of which I had to file 3 formal payPal complaints against Procarparts to get the money back. It appears to me that they will not respond to customers who figure out how they do business, until they get in trouble with PayPal.

I will NEVER buy anything from them!!!

I waited and waited to get some kind of response from them. They would return my emails after about a week in between each one. They refused to work with me to solve the fact that I live in Canada. They NEVER once recommended that "why don't we just give you your money back, because we don't ship to Canada".

I told them to give me my money back and they replied "the money has been returned to your account". Which it wasn't!

I was finally forced to launch 3 formal complaints with PayPal to get my money back. Once I launched the complaints, the money (over $250 USD) was finally returned.

I'm glad PayPal has some kind of effective policing mechanism.

Default an "okay" vendor

i bought the projector lights from them via ebay at over 50% off retail. the lights are not the greatest, but what can one expect at such a price.

it was nearly impossible to reach them on the phone, but they did reply to my email with a tracking number, and the order arrived as advertised. no installation instructions though.
