Default Suggestion for a new forum here on the i-club ....

Hi people... I know bythe date/number i have here on the club that i can still be classified as a newbie even though my status claims specialist (whatever that earns me... maybe a cookie lol) . But anyways... I have a 98 RS and the BIGGEST headache i get is deciding which way to go with my RS... turbo or NA tuning. With this in mind one of the things I'd love to see is dyno proven results on hp and torque figures for various mods.

I realize these figures can be seen from time to time in either the forced induction or NA forums but I am not on this club often enough to always catch the reviews that have these proven results (Also.. a search usually always comes up empty for me anyways).

So I was thinking maybe there should be a dyno tested forum that could be broken down with aftermarket parts tested... and that anyone with the luxury of finding an AWD dyno could leave us thier resulting gains so that us newbies could get a better grasp/idea on which way to go with our tuning needs. There could be one thread ONLY for each product (i know there are many aftermarket products) so as to keep it organized.

I don't know if this would be too much of a headache for the moderators or if it is a stupid idea... but I sure know I could use it as most of the time I am questioning what kind of numbers I can expect from a given mod. Anyone else?

I agree... we'd have overlap with the existing forums, but this could almost be like a prestige forum... it would encourage vendors to start getting dyno numbers

I've asked venders to send me dyno charts of their products on an RS. Not one of them sent me anything. Their reply was lots of high end HP increase. That's ok, but what about low end and mid range. I'm convinced most manufactures of these products don't have real engineers designing them.

I know a bunch of people have actually dyno tested stuff.... and if they came across this new forum they could probably do us all a service and dig up thier old dyno figures. I dunno though.
