Default Garage Opener...help!

for the last year, every morning i have to go through my back door of my house and have to walk through my backyard to get to the back door of my garage because i lost my garage openers and then i found them but they dont work, they're broken. so i don't want to go through another winter like this. does anyone know a good place to call to have them make me new garage door remote openers or do something about my problem so that i dont have to go through my back yard every frickin morning. any numbers would help. i want to get this done as soon as possible.

See if Pioneer Door can help you out. If not, contact the manufacturer of the opener?

What brand is the opener? You might be able to get replacement remotes, then you just need to set the dip switches to the correct setting if it's that type. If it's one of the fancy rolling codes or intellicode things I have no idea.

This thing looks good: http://www.smarthome.com/7168.html

I got a simple remote and control box from JC Whitney and it works good. The opener at my place is some old thing from the early 80's and the remote while it worked, was insanely weak, you had to be literally bumper to the door then hold your hand out the window at just the right angle to get it to work. The new one works from about 1/8th mile away!

You can buy generic ones at Home Depot and program them. I had to set some switches in the remote to get it to match the switches in my garage door opener. Mine is an ancient one...probably a early 70s model!
