Default Will 245/45-17 snows fit on 07 stockers?

Will they? I have a set from a couple years ago and I woud love nothing more than to NOT buy new tires for the winter if I dont have to. Any rubbing or fitment issues?

So my fenders will get chewed up from rocks and salt? YARRRR I dont know if I like that...

I have the stock wheels. Is that an offset that will cause them to stick out? I know diddly winks about the car. I learned too much about my Honda and dont want to do that again. :P

He doesn't want to buy new tires...but it was silly to get 245s in the first place.

How do you figure that? He said he has them "from a couple years ago", and he's driving a 2007 STI which obviously didn't exist "a couple years ago." I'd bet good money that he bought them for a different car, on which a 245/45 might be just the right size.

Anyway, I wouldn't run that wide a tire for winter driving, it kinda defeats the purpose of having snow tires.

Oh fine fine I obviously wasn't thinking about what car those tires used to be on, but they don't belong on his current one.
