Default DOHC ecu vs SOHC ecu q's?

EJ25 questions, not EJ20

I am wondering if a DOHC ECU would work on a SOHC engine. The obvious problems I see are:
MAF vs MAP
re-ordering of the pins
more than 1 cam sensor on the DOHC?

Can anyone answer the question about what would need to be changed to make a DOHC ecu work on a SOHC engine?

What about a DOHC head swap?

Also, can anyone verify if the SOHC EJ25 is an EJ25D?

Thanks..

Jeff

The DOHC and SOHC use completely differant fuel injection systems. Although they both have 1 cam sensor and 1 crank sensor, the injectors are differant, the IAC valves are differant, the TPS are differant, etc.

Okay, so if I was putting DOHC heads on my SOHC bottom end, I would need to also switch the injectors, fuel rails, TB (TPS and IAC), what else?

It sounds like I would need the whole upper half of the engine.

NOPE!! It'll DEFINITELY WORK BECAUSE I'VE DONE IT!! I seem to be the only one so far who has a SOHC engine in a 97 GT using the DOHC ecu! It actually ended up being cheaper for me to use to old ecu with the new engine than to try and find a newer model ecu!! If you have any questions about the swap, shoot them over to me.
